Job Overview:
Tracker is seeking a skilled and professional Installation Technician to join its Technical Department in the Bloemfontein / Kimberley region. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient and high-quality installation of sophisticated electronic tracking units into various vehicle types, including trucks and heavy machinery. This role demands precision, technical expertise, and excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, well-presented, and able to work independently while representing the Tracker brand at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities:

Install electronic tracking systems in a wide range of vehicles (cars, trucks, plant machinery).

Ensure all installations meet Tracker’s quality and technical standards.

Perform installations at locations convenient to the customer.

Communicate clearly and professionally with clients throughout the installation process.

Complete all necessary documentation related to each installation accurately and promptly.

Maintain excellent customer service in line with company standards.
-
Monitor and request stock proactively to avoid installation delays.

Conduct all work in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
Minimum Requirements:

Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
-
National Technical Certificate in Automotive Electronics or Motor Mechanics

PSIRA Grade E Registration
-
Minimum of 4 years’ experience as an auto electrician or motor mechanic

Valid driver’s license

Good fault-finding skills and diagnostic techniques

Strong communication and administrative abilities

Computer literacy (MS Office) is advantageous
