Tender Description
Maluti-a-Phofung Water is inviting quotations for the supply, delivery and calibration of specialised flow meters for the Wilge WTP, Sterkfontein WTP and Makwane WTP.
The project aims to ensure accurate water-flow measurement, improve infrastructure monitoring and support efficient operations at the water treatment facilities.
Scope of Work
The successful bidder will be required to supply and calibrate:
- Pulsar open-channel flow meters.
- Siemens magnetic flow meters for Escol line and raw inlet applications.
- Endress+Hauser flow meters for raw inlet and recycling pump applications.
- Conduct mandatory site visits to verify technical specifications and installation conditions before finalising quotations.
- Supply and deliver the required equipment as an once-off project.
Technical & Compliance Requirements
- Submit firm and fixed pricing, including delivery costs and applicable taxes.
- Provide a valid Central Supplier Database (CSD) summary report.
- Provide a valid Tax Compliance Status (TCS) certificate or PIN.
- Submit a registered company certificate showing active members.
- Provide proof that municipal rates and taxes are not more than three months in arrears, or complete the required municipal rates clearance certificate.
- For joint ventures/consortia, each participating entity must independently provide CSD registration and a separate TCS certificate.
- Quotations must be printed on official company letterhead.
- Quotations must be placed in sealed envelopes clearly marked with the tender reference and description.
- Comply with the stated 80/20 evaluation methodology.
Skills & Experience
Bidders should have:
- Technical expertise in the calibration, testing and certification of industrial flow measurement systems.
- Experience with Pulsar, Siemens and Endress+Hauser flow-meter technologies.
- Capacity to conduct site assessments at operational water treatment facilities.
- Knowledge of determining meter specifications, flow ranges and installation requirements.
- Experience preparing compliant municipal procurement quotations.
- Understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements applicable to water-treatment environments.
