Job Overview
Clicks Dihlabeng is looking for a qualified Pharmacy Manager to lead the pharmacy team and ensure the efficient operation of the dispensary and clinic.
Reporting to the Area Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of pharmaceutical care, patient safety and customer service while managing operational, financial and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the pharmacy team to deliver high standards of pharmaceutical care and service excellence.
- Ensure accurate and safe dispensing, including generic substitution, in accordance with good pharmacy practice and SAPC requirements.
- Provide professional pharmaceutical advice and patient counselling within the legal scope of practice.
- Manage all dispensary operations, including stock control, shrinkage, housekeeping and administration.
- Ensure compliance with SAPC regulations and company standards.
- Manage dispensary and clinic targets, expenses and financial performance.
- Recruit, lead, manage and develop employees, learners and interns.
- Schedule staff according to labour policies and operational requirements.
- Ensure accurate completion and submission of employee time-and-attendance records.
- Drive customer service initiatives and customer loyalty.
- Increase ClubCard participation and promote a positive customer experience.
- Ensure effective integration between the pharmacy, clinic, healthcare aisle and store operations.
- Promote a high-performing culture focused on employee engagement, customer satisfaction and business performance.
- Support and promote the Clicks Group vision and values.
Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience
- Registered Pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) – essential.
- Registration with SAPC as the Responsible Pharmacist – essential.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience after completing community service – essential.
- Minimum 1 year of people management experience – essential.
- Retail pharmacy experience – advantageous.
- Unisolv experience – advantageous.
