Job Overview:
The Back Clinic, a multidisciplinary healthcare practice in Bloemfontein, is looking for a Locum General Practitioner (GP) to join their team on a flexible, as-needed basis. This role is ideal for a qualified GP seeking part-time work in a supportive, team-oriented environment. Locum shifts will be allocated as required, across one or more of the clinic’s branches.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general consultations, physical examinations, and health assessments
Diagnose, treat, and manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions
Provide preventative healthcare advice and lifestyle counselling
Collaborate with allied healthcare professionals within the multidisciplinary team
Maintain detailed, accurate, and confidential medical records
Required Competencies:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills
Compassionate, patient-focused care
Team collaboration and adaptability
Ability to work independently on a locum basis
Qualifications & Experience:
MBChB degree or equivalent
Registered with the HPCSA as a General Practitioner
Valid malpractice insurance
Minimum 2 years’ post-community service experience (preferred but not mandatory)
Available and flexible to work shifts across different branches
