Salary Package
- R1 266 714 per annum (all-inclusive package)
Package Structure:
- 70% Basic Salary
- 30% Flexible portion, including:

Job Purpose
To provide strategic leadership and management of crime prevention programmes, ensuring effective implementation of policies and initiatives that promote community safety and crime reduction in the province.
Minimum Requirements
- NQF Level 7 qualification (Bachelor’s Degree) in:
- Social Science
- Policing
- Criminal Justice
- Or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience at middle/senior management level
- Nyukela (SMS Pre-Entry Certificate) – mandatory
- Valid driver’s licence

Key Responsibilities
1. Crime Prevention Strategy
- Develop and implement crime prevention programmes and policies
- Promote an integrated approach to social crime prevention
2. Community Safety & Engagement
- Strengthen community-police relations
- Mobilise communities, NGOs, and traditional leaders
- Support Community Policing Forums (CPFs) and Safety Forums
3. Monitoring & Evaluation
- Monitor police service delivery and compliance
- Evaluate effectiveness of crime prevention initiatives
4. Policy & Advisory Role
- Provide policy advice to leadership and Provincial Commissioner
- Support oversight of policing through the Secretariat
5. Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate multi-sectoral partnerships
- Represent the department in committees and forums
6. Directorate Management
- Lead and manage staff performance
- Oversee budgets and resource allocation
- Prepare and submit operational reports
