Boardroom Appointments is seeking an experienced Code 14 Shunter to operate heavy-duty vehicles and machinery safely and efficiently, supporting site operations. The role involves transporting materials, equipment, and personnel while adhering to safety regulations and company procedures. This position is ideal for a responsible, experienced driver with a strong focus on safety and punctuality.
Key Responsibilities

Operate Code 14 vehicles, including trucks and tipper vehicles, for transportation of construction materials, plant equipment, and supplies.

Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report defects or maintenance requirements.

Comply with all traffic laws, site safety standards, and company transport policies.

Load and offload materials safely, coordinating with site teams.

Maintain accurate delivery and trip records, including logbooks and fuel usage reports.

Assist with site setup and logistical operations as directed.

Follow schedules and routes to ensure efficient time management and productivity.

Conduct basic vehicle maintenance, including checking oil, water, tyres, and brakes.

Uphold high standards of professionalism, safety, and teamwork on and off-site.
Minimum Requirements

Grade 10 or equivalent qualification.

Clear criminal record.

Valid Code 14 (EC) driver’s licence with Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).

Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Code 14 driver in the logistics or construction industry.

Ability to read and follow delivery schedules, maps, and work instructions.
