Job Responsibilities
As a Retail Shop Assistant at Rage, your duties will include:
- Customer Service:
- Welcoming customers into the store and providing excellent service.
- Assisting customers with product inquiries and recommending items to suit their needs.
- Helping customers with opening accounts and filling out necessary paperwork.
- Store Operations:
- Monitoring customer activity to prevent incidents of shoplifting.
- Arranging window displays to reflect current trends and promotions.
- Processing customer refunds and managing transactions using Point of Sale (POS) software.
- Receiving and unpacking stock, verifying paperwork accuracy, and maintaining stockroom standards.
- Store Standards and Maintenance:
- Ensuring the store is clean and organized at all times.
- Maintaining visual displays and layouts according to Rage standards.
- Keeping fire exits and escape routes clear of obstructions.
- Sales and Stock Management:
- Assisting the Store Manager with stock counts, minimizing stock unit losses, and meeting sales targets.
- Participating in executing markdown instructions and processing recall or pack-up lists.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you will need the following:
- Educational Qualifications: High school matric certificate.
- Experience: Proven retail sales experience is an advantage.
- Skills:
