Tender Description
The Department of Public Works seeks to appoint a competent and suitably qualified contractor to provide servicing and maintenance of the gas suppression system at Arts & Culture Cluster facilities in Bloemfontein.
The successful contractor will ensure that the fire suppression equipment is maintained in good working condition and remains capable of responding effectively to fire emergencies. The work will involve inspections, testing, servicing, troubleshooting and repairs to ensure the system operates according to manufacturer specifications and relevant industry standards.
Scope of Work
The appointed service provider will be expected to undertake the following:
Conduct routine inspections of the gas suppression system.
Perform regular servicing and maintenance of system components.
Test the functionality and operational performance of the system.
Identify and troubleshoot technical faults.
Carry out necessary repairs and component replacements.
Ensure that the system operates according to manufacturer specifications.
Maintain compliance with applicable fire safety standards and regulations.
Ensure the continued reliability and effectiveness of the fire protection system.
CIDB Requirements
Minimum CIDB contractor grading of 1 SF.
Only contractors meeting the specified 1 SF grading requirement are eligible to submit tenders.
Contractors must demonstrate the necessary technical capacity and expertise to undertake specialised fire services maintenance.
