    Overview

    The Claims Clerk will be responsible for managing and processing short-term insurance claims efficiently and accurately. This role involves verifying claim information, coordinating with clients and service providers, and ensuring thorough documentation throughout the claim lifecycle. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in short-term insurance, preferably within the agricultural sector.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Receive, register, and process new short-term insurance claims.

    • Verify policy information, cover, and assess claim validity.

    • Liaise with clients, assessors, and service providers throughout the claims process.

    • Collect, capture, and maintain accurate claim documentation and records.

    • Update claim statuses and ensure data accuracy on internal systems.

    • Follow up on outstanding documents, information, and approvals.

    • Resolve queries and escalate complex cases when required.

    • Perform additional administrative tasks assigned by management.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12

    • 2–5 years’ experience in Short-Term Insurance Claims (Agriculture sector experience advantageous)

    • Fluent in English and Afrikaans (read, write, speak)

    • Computer literate

    • Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle

    Advantageous Qualifications

    • Short-Term Insurance Qualification:

      • NQF Level 4 or

      • Higher Certificate: NQF Level 5

    • RE5 Certificate
