Responsibilities:

Assist in delivering professional, cost-effective pharmaceutical services to hospital patients and the public

Ensure medicine and scheduled substance availability for stores and the public

Dispense medication accurately in accordance with legal and ethical standards

Maintain efficient stock levels of all pharmaceutical items
Qualifications:
Required Education:

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B Pharm)
Experience:

Skills and Knowledge:

Understanding of current pharmaceutical legislation (e.g. Medicines and Related Substances Control Act)

Good pharmacy practices and ethical product knowledge

Familiarity with medical aid regulations and formularies

Awareness of clinical pharmacy and antimicrobial stewardship practices

Knowledge of pharmacy systems (e.g. UNISOLVE, AS400)

Financial management basics

Proficiency in Microsoft Office
