Packing Supervisor Job Description
As the Packing Supervisor at VKB Milling, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the packaging team to ensure daily production targets are met. You will play a crucial role in quality control, compliance with safety regulations, equipment maintenance, and cost-saving initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise packaging staff to achieve daily production targets.
- Implement and manage quality control checks to ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, and health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and correct packing weights and product quality.
- Conduct stock taking on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis as per VKB procedures.
- Investigate and manage claims and returned stock, providing feedback to both internal and external clients.
- Ensure accurate process flow and stock movement control for proper accounting.
- Complete and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.
- Implement cost-saving measures across all daily operations.
- Conduct team meetings regularly to maintain high performance.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with stakeholders.
- Maintain clean and organized working areas.
- Participate in production and budgeting forecasting on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Implement FSSC and other relevant auditing processes.
- Ensure statutory compliance with VKB and international standards.
Job Requirements
To qualify for the Packing Supervisor role at VKB Milling, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
- Grade 12 or NQF 4 certification minimum requirement.
- Computer literacy is essential.
- At least two to three years of experience in a similar supervisory role.
- A clear criminal record.
