Job Description
The successful contractor will be responsible for upgrading the temporary bus depot facilities for the Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality. The project includes carrying out civil engineering and construction works, supplying all required labour, equipment, materials, and plant, and ensuring that all work complies with municipal standards, engineering specifications, quality requirements, and occupational health and safety regulations.
The contractor will be expected to complete the project within the agreed timeframe while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Upgrade the temporary bus depot facilities according to approved specifications.
- Establish and prepare the construction site.
- Supply all labour, construction equipment, machinery, and materials required for the project.
- Execute all civil engineering and construction activities.
- Perform structural improvement and rehabilitation works where required.
- Carry out building and infrastructure upgrades.
- Coordinate and supervise construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Monitor daily construction activities and project progress.
- Ensure compliance with engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Implement quality assurance and quality control procedures.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Registered with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) with a minimum grading of 5 CE.
- 4 CE Potentially Emerging Enterprises may be considered if they meet the tender requirements.
- Attend the compulsory clarification meeting.
- Submit the tender using the official tender documentation.
