Job Description / Scope of Work
The successful supplier will be responsible for the supply and delivery of one Power Rodder that meets the municipality’s specified technical requirements.
The equipment must be supplied in accordance with the required specifications and quality standards and delivered to the Bultfontein Technical Offices.
Technical Specifications
The required Power Rodder must have the following specifications:
- Model: FPR-5/GX 160HH
- Driven engine
- Built-in 6.1 reduction gearbox
- Recoil start mounted
- Carry-type design
- Forward and reverse functionality
- Includes 6mm drain rods
- Includes heavy-duty 8mm drain rods
Quotations that do not meet the specified technical requirements may not be considered.
Responsibilities
The successful supplier will be responsible for:
- Supplying one Power Rodder.
- Ensuring the equipment meets all specified technical requirements.
- Supplying the required 6mm and heavy-duty 8mm drain rods.
- Delivering the equipment to the Bultfontein Technical Offices.
- Ensuring the equipment is supplied in good working condition.
- Providing relevant product and supporting documentation.
- Complying with the municipality’s procurement and supply chain requirements.
- Ensuring all quotation and compliance documentation is correctly completed and submitted.
Requirements
Service providers should:
- Be competent and reputable suppliers of similar industrial equipment.
- Have the capacity to supply the specified Power Rodder.
- Meet all technical and quality specifications.
- Be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) where required.
- Provide the required supplier registration details, including the MAAA number.
- Provide valid tax compliance documentation.
- Submit the required signed MBD forms.
- Comply with applicable municipal procurement policies.
- Comply with preferential procurement requirements and applicable goals relating to race, gender, disability and youth representation.
- Meet all contractual and supply chain management requirements.
