Job Purpose
To supervise and assess Intermediate Phase student teachers during school-based teaching practice, ensuring they effectively apply educational theory in classroom settings and develop the skills, knowledge, and professional attitudes required for teaching careers.
Key Responsibilities
Classroom Observation and Evaluation
- Observe student teachers during teaching practice placements.
- Evaluate teaching performance in classroom settings.
- Assess lesson presentation, classroom management, and teaching effectiveness.
- Monitor professional conduct and teaching standards.
Feedback and Development
- Provide constructive verbal and written feedback following observations.
- Discuss evaluation outcomes with student teachers.
- Identify strengths and areas requiring improvement.
- Assist students in developing effective teaching strategies.
Mentoring and Student Support
- Guide student teachers throughout their teaching practice.
- Help students integrate educational theory into practical teaching.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
Essential
