    Internship Summary:

    This internship offers a unique opportunity for recent graduates to join Medtronic’s Neuroscience (and Spine) team. As an intern, you will support surgical procedures and assist clinical stakeholders in adopting advanced Medtronic technologies, contributing directly to improved patient outcomes.

    You’ll gain exposure to high-stakes medical environments, particularly operating theatres, and play a crucial role in building strong clinical relationships through product support and technical insights.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide clinical and technical support during neuroscience and spine procedures

    • Assist in product demonstrations, installations, and maintenance

    • Offer on-site education and consulting to clinical stakeholders

    • Coordinate with hospital personnel and the sales team for seamless technology adoption

    • Maintain strong professional relationships with healthcare professionals and organizations

    • Deliver technical data and assist with stakeholder training

    • Travel to support in-field clinical activities as required

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Recently graduated with a degree in a medical field

    • Must be currently unemployed

    • South African citizen, under the age of 30

    • Must not have previously participated in a YES programme

    • Willing and able to work in operating theatre environments

    • Able to travel to support clinical sites

    Preferred (Advantageous):

    • Valid driver’s license

    • Experience or qualification in Spine-related or Navigation Technology

    • Prior clinical or hospital experience

    • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills

    • Goal-driven and adaptable personality
