    Investec CSI Bursary- 2026 Intake

    Overview:

    The Investec CSI Bursary offers full-cost funding for students who are:

    • Currently in Grade 12, taking a gap year after Matric, or

    • In their first year of university.

    This bursary is not just financial support – Investec also helps recipients become work-ready, socially conscious individuals.

    Eligible Fields of Study:

    You must be planning to study full-time undergraduate degrees in:

    • Commerce (Economics, Accounting, Finance, Investments)

    • Business Science

    • Computer Science / IT / Informatics / Information Science

    • Engineering

    • Mathematics & Science

    • Commercial LLB

    • Medicine (MBCHB)

    • Actuarial Science (Only if already in first year, unless doing Business Science at UCT)

    Note: Only at select public South African universitiesno funding for private institutions.

    Required Supporting Documents (Certified Copies):

    1. South African ID

    2. This year’s mid-year results or latest academic record

    3. Matric results (if completed)

    4. Parent(s)/guardian(s) income proof:

      • Payslip or employer letter + sworn statement / tax return

      • If self-employed: Latest financial statements

      • If unemployed: Sworn affidavit

    5. Death certificate(s) if parent(s) deceased

    6. Divorce certificate (if applicable)

    7. Sworn statement from one parent (if parents are separated)

    Eligibility Criteria:

    • South African citizen

    • Academic results:

      • Grade 12 / NSC: At least 60% in all subjects

        • Minimum 70% in Mathematics (NOT Maths Lit)

        • 70% in English FAL or 65% in English HL

      • First-year students: Minimum 60% average in first semester

      • STEM students must have 60% in each subject

      • Financial need is a key selection factor.

    Important Dates:

    • Application Open: 1 May 2025

    • Application Deadline: 30 September 2025 (No late submissions)

    Application Tips:

    • Apply early to your chosen university.

    • Specify the exact degree name and university in your application.

    • Don’t change degrees after applying – it may cancel your bursary.

    • No bursaries for private institutions.
