Purpose of the Role
To support and strengthen provincial infrastructure performance, ensuring effective planning, financial management, monitoring, and delivery of infrastructure programmes in line with legislative and policy frameworks.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Infrastructure Performance Monitoring
- Support and monitor provincial infrastructure performance
- Track implementation of infrastructure projects and programmes
- Ensure alignment with national and provincial frameworks
Financial Management Oversight
- Monitor financial management of provincial infrastructure projects
- Ensure compliance with:
- Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)
- Division of Revenue Act
- Intergovernmental Relations Act
- Treasury Regulations
Planning & Programme Support
- Provide guidance on infrastructure planning and portfolio management
- Support departments in project planning and execution
- Ensure effective implementation of the Infrastructure Delivery Management System (IDMS)
Capacity Building & Support
- Support infrastructure capacity building initiatives
- Provide technical and strategic guidance to provincial departments
- Assist in strengthening infrastructure management systems
Minimum Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in:
- Engineering
- Built Environment
- Quantity Surveying
- Minimum 5 years’ experience at junior management / Assistant Director level
- Experience in monitoring infrastructure projects/programmes
Required Knowledge
- Infrastructure Delivery Management System (IDMS)
- Financial and project management principles
- Public sector legislation, including:
- Public Finance Management Act
- Division of Revenue Act
- Intergovernmental Relations Act
- Treasury Regulations

Salary & Benefits
- Salary: R896 436 per annum (all-inclusive package)
