Tender Overview
Maluti-a-Phofung Local Municipality is inviting suitably qualified service providers to undertake minor repairs and maintenance at the Phuthaditjhaba Fire Station offices and dormitories.
The appointed service provider will be responsible for carrying out various building, repair and maintenance works to ensure that the fire station facilities remain safe, functional and properly maintained.
Scope of Work
The work may include:
- Removal and replacement of doors and windows.
- Removal and replacement of ceilings and floors.
- Brickwork and general building repairs.
- Carpentry work.
- Painting and renovations.
- Roofing repairs.
- Installation and repair of gates.
- Repairs and installation of garage doors.
- Installation of remote controls and electrical fittings.
- Provision of all necessary materials, tools and equipment.
- Other incidental repair and maintenance services required for the project.
Technical Requirements
The successful service provider must:
- Complete repairs according to the required specifications and quantities.
- Provide all necessary materials, tools and safety equipment.
- Comply with applicable health, safety and quality standards.
- Prepare detailed work plans and implementation schedules.
- Complete the work within the stipulated timelines.
- Deliver work that meets the required quality standards.
Skills and Experience Requirements
Bidders should demonstrate:
- Experience in similar minor repair and maintenance projects.
- A proven track record of completing comparable projects.
- Qualified personnel, including:
- A Foreman with at least 2 years’ relevant experience.
- A Safety Officer with a valid Occupational Health and Safety Certificate.
- Access to skilled tradespeople such as:
- Carpenters
- Bricklayers
- Painters
- Technicians
- Ability to develop and implement detailed work plans.
- Ability to complete projects within the required timelines and budget.
