Job Overview
VKB Retail is looking for a hands-on and results-driven Store Manager to oversee warehouse and yard operations in Heilbron.
The successful candidate will be responsible for effective stock management, accurate loading and offloading, sales of agricultural commodities, housekeeping, customer service and leading the team to achieve operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure loading and offloading of stock from yards and warehouses comply with VKB policies and procedures.
- Market and sell agricultural commodities.
- Maintain effective stock control.
- Ensure the correct volumes of stock are available and that stock rotation is carried out according to procedures.
- Conduct daily walkabouts and inspections to ensure the premises are clean, organised and maintained according to VKB standards.
- Lead and support the team in achieving operational goals.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure stock integrity.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties related to the position.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4
- Relevant tertiary qualification will be an advantage.
- Previous agricultural warehousing experience will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of agricultural commodities, including:
- Animal feed
- Fertiliser
- Building materials
- Other agricultural products
- Strong focus on housekeeping and accurate stock keeping.
- Willingness to undergo continuous training.
- Proficiency in Afrikaans and English will be an advantage.
