    Job Overview

    VKB Group is looking for a highly organised and service-oriented Payroll Support Administrator to join its Human Capital team at the Group Head Office in Reitz.

    The successful candidate will serve as the first point of contact for payroll-related employee queries and support requests. The role will provide administrative assistance to Payroll Specialists, support employees with payroll and statutory documentation, and ensure accurate completion of payroll-related activities.

    Candidates should have excellent attention to detail, strong administrative skills, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

    Important: The successful candidate must be based in Reitz or be willing to relocate and work from the Group Head Office.

    Key Responsibilities

    Payroll Support & Employee Service

    • Serve as the first point of contact for payroll-related employee queries.
    • Assist employees with payroll support requests and payroll tickets.
    • Provide employment-related documentation and service confirmations.
    • Reprint and distribute payslips, IRP5 certificates and other payroll records.
    • Assist with payroll reporting and general administrative activities.

    Statutory Administration & Compliance

    • Assist Payroll Specialists with UIF administration and employee documentation.
    • Prepare and process UIF documentation for maternity, illness, unemployment and other claims.
    • Submit monthly UIF declarations and maintain supporting records.
    • Assist with ITA88 and other SARS-related payroll documentation.
    • Support payroll compliance activities, audits and Department of Labour enquiries.
    • Maintain accurate payroll filing systems and records.

    Employee Self-Service (ESS) Administration

    • Create, maintain and terminate ESS user profiles.
    • Reset ESS passwords and provide user support.
    • Assist employees with ESS setup and usage on mobile devices.
    • Support leave administration and ESS leave approval processes.

    Payroll Administration

    • Perform weekly Bank AVS validations to verify employee banking details.
    • Support basic payroll processing activities using Sage 300 People.
    • Assist Payroll Specialists with routine payroll administration and system maintenance.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 / Matric.
    • Additional payroll-related courses, certificates or training will be advantageous.
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Payroll Administration, Human Resources Administration or a similar support function.
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with Sage 300 People.
    • Practical experience dealing with payroll documentation and employee queries.
    • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
    • Afrikaans and English communication skills will be advantageous.
    • Must be based in, or willing to relocate to, Reitz.
