    Job Overview / Description

    • Position Title: Career Services Advisor
    • Location: Remote (South Africa)

    • Experience Level: Mid-Level (2+ years coaching experience)
    • Salary Range: R220,000 – R300,000 per year

    Job Purpose:

    To support IT bootcamp students in navigating their learning and career placement journey through personalised coaching, skills development support, and employer engagement. The role involves building strong relationships with students, alumni, and employer partners to drive placement outcomes and long-term career success.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Student Engagement & Coaching:

    • Deliver 1:1 coaching sessions: goal setting, LinkedIn, resumes, job search, interviews

    • Onboard and train students on career tools (Prentus, Enhancv, Pepelwerk, Stellarworx)

    • Facilitate cohort-based educational sessions and Q&As

    • Assess students’ readiness for job placement portals and refer candidates to job opportunities

    • Track student and alumni outcomes; gather satisfaction data and testimonials

    • Maintain alumni engagement and mentor signups

    • Conduct 3-month follow-ups with alumni and employers post-placement

    Employer & Partner Engagement:

    • Build and maintain relationships with employer partners

    • Promote students to employers via tools like Prentus

    • Actively seek new employer connections and document engagement and placement outcomes

    Team Collaboration:

    • Participate in team meetings and share program updates

    • Maintain thorough records on student interactions and jobseeker progress

    • Collaborate across teams to enhance student experience and placement success

    Minimum Requirements:

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Human Resources, or related field

    Experience:

    • 2+ years in career, life, or business coaching or counselling

    • 1+ year in a remote, customer-facing role

    • Experience in delivering live virtual sessions

    • Customer service experience in a fast-paced, change-driven environment is a plus

    Technical Proficiency:

    • Strong working knowledge of LinkedIn (profiles and tools)

    • Comfortable with learning and using new systems/platforms quickly

    • Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
