Purpose of the Tender
Mantsopa Local Municipality invites quotations for the rental lease of a 18,000-litre water tanker for a period of 20 days. The tanker will be used to:
- Supply potable (drinking) water to households experiencing water shortages.
- Support municipal services by assisting with sewer spillages.
- Provide water jet and sewer jet services where required.
Scope of Work
The successful service provider will be required to:
Water Supply Services
- Provide one operational 18,000L water tanker.
- Deliver potable water to affected households in Excelsior and surrounding areas.
- Ensure uninterrupted water distribution during the contract period.
Sewer Maintenance Support
- Assist the municipality with sewer spillages.
- Provide sewer jetting services using the tanker equipment.
- Support emergency water and sanitation operations.
Equipment and Personnel
- Supply a fully functional water tanker.
- Provide a qualified operator/driver.
- Include all transportation and operational costs in the quotation.
Technical Requirements
The water tanker must:
- Have a minimum capacity of 18,000 litres.
- Be roadworthy and fully operational.
- Be supplied with a competent operator/driver.
- Be capable of transporting potable water safely.
- Be equipped to assist with sewer jetting and sanitation-related services.
- Remain available throughout the 20-day contract period.
Documentation Required
Bidders are expected to submit:
- CSD (Central Supplier Database) report.
- Company registration documents.
- Certified ID copies of directors/owners.
- Municipal rates and taxes clearance or proof of account status.
- Relevant vehicle and operator documentation.
- Any additional compliance documents requested in the tender document.
