     Job Description

    This role is focused on coordinating and managing clinical health programmes within a hospital environment.

    You will ensure that healthcare services are properly planned, implemented, and monitored to improve patient care quality and service delivery.

    It is a strategic clinical management role combining leadership, planning, and healthcare system coordination.

     Key Responsibilities

     Programme Planning & Coordination

    • Develop and oversee operational and business plans
    • Provide strategic direction for clinical programmes
    • Support effective implementation of healthcare services

     Quality Assurance & Patient Care

    • Develop and implement:
      • Quality assurance programmes
      • Clinical guidelines and protocols
      • Healthcare standards and norms
    • Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care

     Information & Systems Management

    • Use IT systems and health information systems
    • Manage clinical data for improved decision-making
    • Support service delivery through data-driven planning

     Teamwork & Collaboration

    • Work with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
    • Promote inter-professional collaboration
    • Support coordination across departments and units

     Resource Management

    • Ensure efficient use of:
      • Human resources
      • Medical supplies
      • Hospital equipment and infrastructure

     Minimum Requirements

    •  Senior Certificate (Matric)
    •  Nursing diploma/degree or equivalent qualification
    •  Registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council (valid 2026/2027)
    •  Computer literacy
    •  Knowledge of public service legislation and hospital policies
