Job Description
This role focuses on driving sales growth and operational efficiency through strategic distributor partnerships. You will manage relationships with distributors, ensure strong commercial performance, and optimise supply chain and sales processes.
The goal is to increase revenue, improve service delivery, and ensure distributors operate effectively and in line with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve volume, revenue, and margin targets
- Execute channel strategies and revenue growth plans
- Apply commercial principles (e.g., pricing, promotions, profitability)
Distributor Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong distributor partnerships
- Align distributors with the Annual Business Plan (ABP)
- Monitor and ensure KPI performance
Demand Planning & Stock Management
- Provide accurate sales forecasts
- Reduce stock shortages (out-of-stocks)
- Improve inventory and delivery performance (OTIF – On Time In Full)
Operational Excellence & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with:
- Trading terms
- Credit policies
- Health & safety standards
- Legal requirements
Financial & Credit Management
- Manage credit terms and payment performance
- Work with finance teams to reduce risk and improve cash flow
Strategic Initiatives
- Support rollout of:
- New product launches
- System improvements
- Digital/cashless solutions
Data & Systems Management
- Maintain accurate data in ERP systems
- Support reporting and decision-making
- Ensure smooth use of ordering platforms
Customer Service Improvement
- Improve service delivery and distributor performance
- Resolve operational issues (e.g., delivery delays, stock issues)
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Qualification in:
- Business Management
- Logistics
- Sales
- Marketing
Experience
- 4–6 years in commercial, sales, or logistics environment
- Proven experience in:
- Sales and/or operations
- Strong MS Office skills (especially Excel)
- ERP / distribution system experience (advantage)
