Job Description
This role focuses on improving how the organisation operates by analysing structures, workflows, and staff productivity. The aim is to ensure the university runs efficiently by designing better processes, measuring performance, and supporting strategic decision-making.
You will work closely with different departments to identify inefficiencies, recommend improvements, and implement solutions that enhance organisational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and develop or review organisational structures and staffing models
- Evaluate productivity metrics and workforce efficiency
- Design and improve business processes and workflows
- Conduct work measurement studies and determine standard times
- Develop organisational KPIs and performance indicators
- Compile detailed reports and provide recommendations to management
- Implement approved efficiency improvements and monitor results
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders across all levels
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree / Advanced Diploma / BTech / Postgraduate Certificate (NQF Level 7)
OR
National Diploma (NQF Level 6) - At least 2 years’ relevant experience in efficiency improvement
- Experience in most of the following:
- Organisational design and review
- Business process redesign
- Job profiling
- Work measurement
- Office automation and data processing
- Performance management systems
Recommended (Advantageous)
- Higher Certificate in Work Study (or equivalent)
- 4+ years relevant experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication (written & verbal)
- High integrity and professional objectivity
