Responsibilities:

Oversee the delivery of engineering services and sustainable resource initiatives across the province.

Drive sustainable land care practices and promote responsible land use and environmental management.

Lead the development and implementation of Agricultural Risk and Disaster Management Plans.

Manage and coordinate directorate resources, including human, financial, and physical assets.
-
Contribute to the formulation and implementation of provincial policies aligned with service delivery goals.
-
Foster partnerships and coordinate with stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness and community impact.
-
Provide strategic advice to the Chief Director: Agricultural Development Support to support proactive decision-making.

Participate in and contribute to the development of the department’s 5-year Strategic Plan, Annual Performance Plan, and Operational Plans.

Monitor and report on directorate performance monthly, quarterly, and annually.
Qualifications:
-
NQF Level 7 qualification in Engineering or Sustainable Resource Management (or a related field).

Minimum of 5 years’ experience at Deputy Director or senior managerial level in a relevant field.

Valid Code B driver’s license.
-
Compulsory Nyukela SMS Pre-entry Certificate (must be submitted prior to appointment).
