     Salary Package

     Job Description

    This role focuses on health advocacy, public health communication, and strategic health programme implementation. You will support and coordinate awareness campaigns and ensure communities are educated about key health issues such as TB, HIV/AIDS, and other national health priorities.

    You will also contribute to health promotion, stakeholder engagement, and service quality improvement across the province.

     Key Responsibilities

     Health Advocacy & Campaigns

    • Develop and implement Advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilisation (ACSM) plans
    • Organise public health campaigns such as:
      • TB awareness campaigns
      • HIV/AIDS campaigns
      • World AIDS Day, World TB Day, and other health events
    • Conduct community outreach (door-to-door, roadshows, imbizos)

     Programme Coordination

    • Support and coordinate strategic health programmes (TB, HIV/AIDS, etc.)
    • Ensure proper allocation and use of IEC (Information, Education & Communication) materials
    • Reinforce health education during disease outbreaks

     Monitoring & Reporting

    • Monitor data quality in health information systems (DHIMS)
    • Conduct facility visits to assess service delivery and data accuracy
    • Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual reports

     Stakeholder Engagement

    • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
    • Coordinate communication between health facilities and communities
    • Promote patient rights and Batho Pele principles

     Quality Improvement

    • Develop clinic quality improvement programmes
    • Contribute to policies, guidelines, and performance indicators
    • Support service excellence initiatives

     Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 (Matric)
    • Diploma or Degree in Nursing (NQF 6/7)
    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse
    • Minimum 8 years nursing experience after registration
    • At least 3 years management-level experience (PN-A5 or equivalent)
    • Valid driver’s licence
    • Current SANC registration (2026/2027)
