Job Overview
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that elevate the profile of designated shopping centre(s), strengthen tenant brands, and deliver measurable commercial outcomes such as increased footfall and sales growth.
This role embodies Excellerate Brand Management’s “unsame” philosophy — driving innovative, creative, and commercially focused campaigns that connect landlords, tenants, shoppers, and the broader community. The Marketing Manager operates with accountability for budget management, stakeholder alignment, and overall marketing performance.
Job Description
Marketing Strategy & Campaign Management

Develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with centre objectives.

Plan and implement campaigns that drive footfall, tenant sales, and brand positioning.

Deliver unique, engaging experiences that differentiate the centre.

Monitor campaign performance using analytics and market research tools.
Sales Support & Activation Management

Support Non-GLA Sales through operational management of kiosks, court spaces, and exhibition events.

Act as onsite liaison for activations, ensuring compliance with design approvals and house rules.

Oversee timely setup and breakdown of events and exhibitions.
Operational Coordination

Ensure weekly setup lists are approved, audited, and submitted to Operations on time.

Monitor and report on activation performance and compliance standards.
Compliance & Trader Management

Ensure traders adhere to EBM terms, conditions, and house rules.

Conduct regular audits to maintain high trading and presentation standards.
Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Marketing teams for seamless execution.

Liaise directly with tenants, landlords, agencies, and shoppers.

Provide recommendations to improve activation and engagement processes.
Budget Management & Financial Control

Develop and manage the marketing budget in line with approved strategy.

Track and report marketing expenditure in collaboration with Finance.

Ensure adherence to procurement and approval processes (quotes, POs, invoices).

Manage reconciliations and ensure timely payments.
Team & Performance Management

Lead and manage marketing team deliverables.

Delegate tasks while maintaining accountability.

Provide continuous feedback and ensure high performance standards.

Report to the General Manager and EBM Head Office for strategic alignment.
Decision-Making Authority

Operate independently within approved budgets and mandates.

Escalate major strategic or financial matters where required.
Minimum Requirements
Education
-
Grade 12 (essential).

Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, or related field (preferred).
Experience
-
Minimum 5+ years’ marketing experience.

Retail/shopping centre or FMCG marketing experience preferred.

Strong strategic thinking and creative execution.
