    Job Overview

    Nutri Feeds is looking for a qualified Fitter to join its Feed Division at the Viljoenskroon Feedmill. This full-time, onsite position is responsible for carrying out scheduled, preventive, and breakdown mechanical maintenance on plant equipment to ensure maximum reliability, operational efficiency, and safety.

    The successful candidate will diagnose mechanical faults, repair machinery, perform inspections, maintain maintenance records, and provide technical support to production operations while adhering to health and safety standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    As the Fitter, you will:

    • Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
    • Ensure pellet mills are correctly set up, maintained, and lubricated.
    • Respond promptly to mechanical breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
    • Complete daily maintenance job cards within required timeframes.
    • Report critical equipment defects and spare part requirements to the Maintenance Foreman.
    • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on production equipment.
    • Maintain high housekeeping standards in all work areas.
    • Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
    • Perform standby and after-hours maintenance duties when required.
    • Assist fellow artisans and carry out additional maintenance tasks assigned by management.

    Minimum Requirements

    Applicants must have:

    • Grade 12 (Matric).
    • N3 qualification.
    • Recognised Trade Test (Fitter).
    • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the FMCG sector.
    • Good communication skills.
