Job Overview
The Department of Education invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Food Service Aid (Ref No: PS7/2024/04) within the MEC Administrative Support Sub-Directorate.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring that kitchen operations are maintained in a hygienic, safe, and efficient manner at the MEC: Head Office in Bloemfontein.
Minimum Requirements

ABET Certificate or an equivalent qualification.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
As a Food Service Aid, the successful candidate will be expected to:

Prepare and serve food, snacks, meals, and beverages.

Assist with portioning and serving meals to staff and visitors.

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and dining area.
-
Adhere strictly to health, hygiene, and safety regulations at all times.
-
Assist with stock control and inventory management of kitchen supplies.

Support general food service operations as required.
