Job Purpose
The General Worker is responsible for performing general labour duties that support the daily operations of the retail branch. This includes maintaining a clean and organised workplace, assisting with stock handling, providing customer service, and ensuring the premises are well maintained.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)
- Ability to load and offload stock
- Basic stock control knowledge
- Customer service skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding manual labour
- Willingness to contribute positively to the workplace
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness throughout the premises.
- Perform general cleaning duties.
- Assist customers and suppliers with loading and offloading stock according to company procedures.
- Carry out general housekeeping tasks.
- Provide customer service and assist customers when required.
- Perform ad hoc duties assigned by management.
- Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the retail branch.
