Job Overview
The Copy Editor will be responsible for strategic internal and external communication, crafting compelling content for different platforms while maintaining the company’s tone of voice and branding. This role requires excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in both Afrikaans and English.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement communication strategies to support the company’s goals.
- Write, edit, and proofread content for various platforms, including social media, publications, and corporate communications.
- Ensure messaging aligns with VKB Group’s brand voice and identity.
- Generate and curate engaging content for internal and external audiences.
- Manage and optimize the company’s digital and social media presence.
- Work closely with the Head of Corporate Communications and marketing team to coordinate content creation.
- Ensure accurate Afrikaans to English and English to Afrikaans translations.
- Adhere to the company’s corporate identity guidelines in all communication materials.
Requirements
- A relevant degree in Marketing and Communication, Corporate Communication, or Journalism.
- 4 – 6 years of experience in a corporate communication or news environment.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills in Afrikaans and English.
- Ability to think creatively and deliver engaging content.
- Experience with digital and social media platforms.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
