    Job Description

    The Contract Manager is responsible for the overall management, profitability, operational performance, and client satisfaction of security contracts within mining operations in the Northern Cape. The role requires strong leadership, financial management, operational oversight, customer relationship management, and business development capabilities.

    The successful candidate will ensure the effective deployment of security personnel, maintain compliance with mining and security regulations, manage contract profitability, support business growth, and build strong client relationships while delivering integrated security solutions.

    Main Purpose of the Role

    To manage all aspects of security contract operations within mining environments, ensuring financial performance, operational excellence, customer retention, compliance, and sustainable business growth.

    Financial Management

    Contract Profitability

    • Manage contract financial performance.
    • Monitor and improve gross margins.
    • Implement cost-saving initiatives and controls.
    • Manage contract profitability targets.

    Budget and Cost Control

    • Control operational overheads.
    • Manage wage and labour costs.
    • Ensure effective cash flow management.
    • Monitor debt collection and DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).

    • Drive contract growth opportunities.
    • Ensure contractual escalations are achieved.
    • Support the expansion of services to existing clients.

    Staff and Human Resource Management

    Workforce Management

    • Manage staffing structures and workforce allocation.
    • Ensure appropriate staffing levels across contracts.
    • Analyse staff turnover and implement retention initiatives.
    • Manage overtime and annual leave effectively.

    Employee Relations

    • Conduct performance assessments.
