Purpose of the Job:
As an Artisan Electrician, you will operate, maintain, and repair electrical equipment while adhering to strict guidelines to meet performance and safety targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in shift handovers and provide feedback to supervisors.
- Perform routine inspections and root cause analyses, contributing to plant safety and stability.
- Conduct risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety standards and company regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment, adhering to waste disposal policies.
- Work independently and align daily tasks with business goals and KPIs.
- Lead by example by providing on-the-job coaching and conducting SME presentations on plant equipment.
- Participate in IMS inspections to support plant sustainability and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Engage in team efforts, offering input at toolbox talks and collaborating across disciplines.
Qualifications
Education:
- Grade 12 or N3 qualification, including Mathematics, Physical Science, and English.
- Trade Certificate in Electrical.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in electrical systems and equipment.
Required Skills and Competencies
Technical Skills:
- Troubleshooting and analysis of technical issues.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and equipment utilization.
- Application of safety practices in the workplace.
