Salary
- Grade 1: R 307,473.00 – R 362,187.00
- Grade 2: R 375,480.00 – R 442,296.00
- Grade 3: R 451,533.00 – R 578,826.00
Salary placement will depend on qualifications and experience as per applicable government regulations.
Requirements
To qualify for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- Nursing Qualification: Basic R425 qualification (Diploma/Degree in Nursing or equivalent) permitting registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse.
- Additional Certifications:
- Certificate in Choice of Termination of Pregnancy (CTOP).
- Short course in Family Planning and Management of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs).
- Experience:
- Prior experience in reproductive health.
- Experience working in a CTOP department is advantageous.
Knowledge and Skills
- Comprehensive understanding of:
- Nursing care standards, procedures, and legal frameworks, including the Health Act, Nursing Act, and Batho-Pele principles.
- Occupational Health and Safety Act and Patient Rights Charter.
- Essential skills:
- Planning and organizing.
- Effective communication.
- Collaboration and coordination.
- Time management and computer literacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the implementation of nursing plans for high-quality clinical practice and patient care.
- Apply nursing standards and indicators to maintain quality care.
- Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare laws and regulations.
- Build constructive working relationships with stakeholders.
- Efficiently manage human, material, and physical resources to enhance service delivery.
Placement
The successful candidate will be stationed at Khotsong Clinic, Welkom, a facility committed to delivering excellent healthcare services.
