Job Overview
Eduvos is seeking an experienced Academic Content Writer specialising in Graphic Design (Motion Design & 3D Animation) to join its Academic Development team. This national position offers the opportunity to develop high-quality learning materials for higher education programmes in collaboration with subject matter experts.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging study materials, assessments, and online learning content while ensuring alignment with Eduvos’ academic standards and brand guidelines. This role is suitable for a creative academic with expertise in motion graphics, animation, audiovisual production, and instructional content development.
Key Responsibilities
As the Academic Content Writer, you will:
- Develop new learning materials and assessments for Graphic Design programmes.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts through established communities of practice.
- Follow Eduvos content development guidelines and programme specifications.
- Ensure all learning materials align with the Eduvos brand and academic quality standards.
- Submit content for moderation and quality assurance.
- Coordinate copy editing through the approved content development process.
- Upload and release learning materials on the required learning platforms.
- Review and update existing learning materials and assessments.
- Respond to content-related academic queries.
- Assist with the ingestion and publishing of module content where required.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- A BA Honours Degree in Graphic Design with specialisation in:
- Audiovisual Production
- Animation
- Motion Graphics
OR
- A background in Fine Arts or Digital Arts, provided the required specialisations are met.
Advantage:
- A Master’s Degree (MA) in a related field.
Experience
Applicants should have:
- At least 3 years’ experience lecturing and/or developing study material within the Higher Education sector.
- Experience creating interactive learning content on a Learning Management System (LMS), preferably Moodle.
- Experience developing assessments across different NQF levels.
The following will be advantageous:
- Academic journal publications.
- Strong experience in branding, packaging design, and social media design.
- Excellent understanding of typography, layout, and visual communication.
