Job Description
The successful contractor will be responsible for upgrading the temporary bus depot facilities for the Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality. The project involves carrying out civil engineering and building works, supplying all required labour, materials, equipment, and machinery, and ensuring that all construction activities comply with municipal specifications, engineering standards, quality requirements, and occupational health and safety legislation.
The contractor will be responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and completing all construction activities within the agreed project timeframe and budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Upgrade the temporary bus depot infrastructure.
- Prepare and establish the construction site.
- Supply all labour, materials, plant, equipment, and machinery required for the project.
- Execute all civil engineering and general building works.
- Construct, repair, and upgrade depot facilities according to approved specifications.
- Carry out structural improvements and rehabilitation works where required.
- Supervise construction personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Coordinate daily site activities and project operations.
- Ensure compliance with engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Implement quality assurance and quality control procedures.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Valid CIDB Grade 5 CE registration or higher.
- 4 CE Potentially Emerging Enterprises may be considered if they meet the tender criteria.
- Proven experience in civil engineering and infrastructure construction projects.
- Attendance at the compulsory clarification meeting.
- Submission of tenders using the official tender documentation only.
- Compliance with all functionality requirements specified in the bid documents.
- Ability to complete the project within the specified timeframe.
