Tender Description
Setsoto Local Municipality invites suitably qualified and compliant suppliers to submit quotations for the supply and delivery of sewer maintenance materials and specialised sewer clearance equipment to the Clocolan Technical Stores.
The procurement is intended to support the municipality’s sewer maintenance, dredging and infrastructure operations by providing specialised mechanical attachments, hydraulic clearing equipment and manhole handling systems.
The successful supplier will be required to source and deliver the specified equipment within the prescribed timeframe while complying with the municipality’s supply chain management, regulatory and preferential procurement requirements.
Scope of Supply
The required sewer maintenance materials and equipment include:
- Double worm screws.
- Root augers, including 140mm and 150mm variants.
- Spear heads.
- Drill heads.
- Flexi-back variants.
- Gully plungers.
- Rock boring worms.
- Sewer bladders with matching pumps.
- Complete manhole ring lifting systems.
Quantities are specified per individual line item in the quotation/tender documentation.
All goods must be delivered directly to the Clocolan Technical Stores.
Supplier Responsibilities
The successful supplier will be responsible for:
- Sourcing all specified sewer maintenance materials and equipment.
- Supplying the required quantities for each line item.
- Ensuring that supplied products match the municipality’s required specifications.
- Maintaining sufficient inventory or sourcing capacity to meet the delivery deadline.
- Packaging and transporting the equipment safely.

Supplier Requirements

- Display/provide the required CSD registration information.
- Demonstrate the ability to source and deliver specialised sewer maintenance equipment.
- Meet the required three-day delivery period.
- Ensure quotations remain valid for at least 30 days from the closing date.
- Comply with applicable municipal Supply Chain Management requirements.
Shortlisted suppliers will be required to provide:
- Company Registration Certificate.
- Valid SARS Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN, issued within 30 days of the quotation closing date.
- Current municipal rates and taxes statements for the company.
- Current municipal rates and taxes statements for all company directors.
- Municipal accounts that are not more than three months in arrears.
- Fully completed and signed MBD 4 – Declaration of Interest form.
