This role is critical in ensuring optimal planning, performance, and evolution of the mobile transmission network. Responsibilities:

Contribute to the translation of MTN’s transmission strategy into long-term regional plans

Forecast capacity and traffic aligned with network strategy
-
Plan transmission capacity for access, backhaul, and backbone infrastructure

Ensure smooth handover of plans to Network Operations
-
Evaluate and verify new transmission network equipment and specifications
-
Drive performance optimization and implement necessary design changes
-
Conduct tender evaluations and ensure technical contract compliance
-
Provide technical planning support across departments and with external stakeholders
-
Coordinate with suppliers, regulators, and other MTN business areas

Identify and eliminate non-contributory expenditure
Qualifications:
Education:
-
Minimum 3-year degree or diploma in Electrical Light-Current, Electronics, or Communication Engineering

Code 8 EB driver’s licence required

Fluent in English (local language proficiency preferred)
Experience:
-
Minimum of 3 years of experience in transmission planning
-
Previous experience in a medium-sized organization

Supervisory experience is advantageous
