    The Solar Sales Representative is responsible for selling solar products—specifically PV kits, inverters, and battery storage systems—to solar installers and related industry professionals. The role focuses on developing strong client relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and achieving monthly revenue targets. This position requires in-depth knowledge of solar technology, strong technical sales experience, and the ability to provide expert product guidance to clients. The role may start as a 6-month contract with the possibility of becoming permanent.

    Job Description

    Key Responsibilities

    Product Sales & Business Development

    • Sell PV kits, inverters, battery storage systems, and related solar products to solar installers.

    • Develop new business and expand the existing client base.

    • Conduct product presentations and provide technical product guidance to clients.

    • Proactively identify and pursue sales opportunities.

    Client Relationship Management

    • Build and maintain long-term relationships with solar installers and industry stakeholders.

    • Provide ongoing customer support to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

    • Address client queries and recommend suitable solar solutions based on requirements.

    Technical Knowledge & Support

    • Maintain a strong understanding of solar systems, components, and market trends.

    • Provide insights on system design, product compatibility, and installation requirements.

    • Stay updated on new technologies and product developments within the solar industry.

    Administration & Reporting

    • Prepare quotes, proposals, and sales documentation.

    • Maintain accurate records of leads, sales activities, and customer interactions.

    • Achieve monthly sales targets and report on performance.

    Required Skills & Competencies

    • Strong technical sales ability, especially in renewable energy solutions.

    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

    • Ability to build strong client relationships and close sales.

    • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.

    • Good understanding of solar PV systems, batteries, and inverters.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Matric + National Diploma in Electrical (ND Electrical) required.

    • Minimum 5 years of solar sales experience.

    • Immediate availability or willingness to take on a 6-month contract.

    Employment Details

    • Job Type: Full-time or Temp-to-Perm (6-month contract, possibility of permanent).

    • Salary: R35 000 – R45 000 per month.

    • Work Location: In person, Bloemfontein.
