Job Description
The Claims Administrator is responsible for managing and processing all insurance-related claims for Hestony, including both motor and property claims. This role ensures that all claims are legitimate, well-documented, and processed efficiently in line with company policies and insurance regulations. The position requires strong administrative skills, effective communication with claimants, brokers, and internal teams, and a solid understanding of insurance claim procedures. Accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting are key performance areas.
Key Responsibilities
Claims Administration
Administer and process all professional and general liability claims for Hestony.
Ensure accurate, complete, and timely management of all claim files.
Expense & Settlement Management
Determine and allocate expense reserves for claims.
Coordinate approvals with relevant departments for claim settlements.
Claims Investigation
Investigate the validity of claims by gathering and evaluating relevant information.
Identify any inconsistencies or missing information.
Client & Stakeholder Coordination
Liaise with claimants to resolve motor and property claim-related issues.
Communicate professionally with clients, employees, and internal teams throughout the claims process.
Broker Coordination
Notify the company’s insurance broker of all new and ongoing claims.
Submit accurate and complete documentation to brokers to facilitate claim processing.
Third-Party Recovery
Manage recovery processes for third-party claims.
Collect necessary documentation and ensure recovery within established guidelines.
Record Keeping
Maintain detailed and accurate claim records in accordance with company and legal requirements.
Secure all claim documents for at least three years as required by law.
Reporting
Compile and distribute monthly claims reports to senior management.
Track claim trends, expenses, and settlements.
Driver Examination Coordination
Partner with the recruitment department to obtain, review, and file weekly driver examinations.
Legislative Compliance
Stay informed on changes to insurance legislation and ensure compliance in all claim-handling processes.
Departmental Assistance
Provide general administrative and operational support as needed.

Strong written and verbal communication.
Interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive or complex situations.
Ability to multitask and manage tight deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and related software.
Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Qualifications & Experience
Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of experience in insurance claims administration.
Solid understanding of claims processes, insurance regulations, and documentation requirements.
Remuneration
R15 000 per month
