Tender Objective
The objective of this RFQ is to procure a rental lease of one operational water tanker, including a qualified driver/operator, for a period of 20 days to support municipal water transportation and service delivery in Excelsior and Ladybrand.
Scope of Work
The scope of the tender includes:
Provision of one (1) water tanker for 20 consecutive days
The tanker must be fully operational (“wet”)
Provision of a qualified and experienced driver/operator
Inclusion of all transportation costs in the quoted price
Service delivery in accordance with municipal schedules and requirements
Technical Requirements
Quantity: 1 water tanker
Must be operational (“wet”)
Must include a driver/operator
Transport and operational costs must be included
Equipment must be suitable for municipal water transportation
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
Bidders must:
Complete and submit MBD 4 and MBD 6.1 forms
Be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
Provide a Municipal Rates and Taxes Account or Service Charges Statement (not in arrears for more than three months)
Ensure compliance with all municipal regulations related to water transport
Submit a signed quotation by an authorized representative
Skills and Capacity Requirements
Provision of a qualified and experienced water tanker driver/operator
Ability to meet service delivery timelines
Knowledge of municipal water transport regulations and service standards
Capacity to deliver uninterrupted service for the full 20-day period
