Tender Description
Setsoto Local Municipality is inviting suitably qualified contractors to undertake the renovation of the municipal technical stores in Senekal.
The successful service provider will be responsible for carrying out the renovation work specified in the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and completing the required work within the stipulated three-day period.
Scope of Work
The tender involves comprehensive renovation works at the municipal technical stores.
The exact work items and quantities are contained in the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) included in the official tender documentation.
The appointed contractor will be expected to:
- Carry out the specified renovation and building works.
- Supply the required materials, labour and resources.
- Manage material logistics and site activities.
- Ensure that work is completed to the required quality standards.
- Comply with applicable health and safety requirements.
- Complete the project within 3 calendar days after receiving the official purchase order.
Important: Any contractor unable to meet the three-day completion period must clearly declare this when submitting their quotation.
Mandatory Requirements
Bidders must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum CIDB Grade 1GB.
- Valid Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration report, issued no more than 30 days before the closing date.
- Company registration certificate.
- Valid SARS Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN, issued within 30 days.
- Fully completed MBD 4 – Declaration of Interest.
- Business accounts must not be more than three months in arrears.
- Proof of physical business premises, such as:
- Direct municipal account statement; or
- Lease agreement accompanied by utility bills.
Preferential Procurement
The quotation will be evaluated using an 80/20 preferential procurement system.

Ownership and eligibility for preference points must be supported by the relevant documentation, including CSD information or other acceptable statutory evidence.

- Supervise construction activities effectively.
- Maintain health and safety standards.
- Complete renovation work within the required three-day timeframe.
Important Information
The municipality reserves the right to take action where the successful contractor fails to meet the stipulated delivery period, including cancellation of the order or other legal remedies.
