Tender Objective
The purpose of this tender is to appoint a qualified security service provider to safeguard a government-owned property located at House No. 7 Friekkie Meyer Street, Sasolburg.
The appointed service provider will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the premises through the deployment of trained security officers, implementation of security procedures, and provision of security equipment.
Scope of Work
The successful bidder will be required to:
Security Personnel
- Provide PSIRA-registered Grade C security officers.
- Deploy security personnel for both day and night shifts.
- Provide supervisory personnel where required.
Security Operations
- Conduct access control.
- Monitor visitors and contractors entering the premises.
- Perform routine patrols.
- Monitor security risks and suspicious activities.
- Handle lost-and-found procedures.
- Record incidents and report security breaches.
Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain occurrence books and incident registers.
- Complete patrol registers.
- Conduct shift handover reporting.
- Prepare operational reports for the department.
Security Equipment
Provide:
- Two-way radios
- Batons
- Handcuffs
- Pocket books
- Security uniforms
- Communication devices
- Any additional operational equipment required
Transport and Monitoring
- Provide transport for security monitoring and supervision.
- Ensure supervisors can respond to incidents and conduct inspections.
Technical Requirements
The service provider must demonstrate:
Personnel Requirements
- PSIRA Grade C registered officers.
- Criminal record clearance.
- Security vetting and clearance where applicable.
- Trained supervisors.
- Relevant security qualifications and certifications.
Documentation Requirements
Submission of:
- PSIRA certificates
- Identity documents
- Security clearances
- Staff CVs
- Proof of training
- Any other required compliance documentation
Operational Requirements
- Incident management procedures.
- Patrol monitoring systems.
- Shift management procedures.

Health and Safety Requirements
The contractor must:
- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
- Provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Implement emergency response procedures.

Skills and Experience Requirements
The bidder must demonstrate:

- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in providing security services.

Operational Capacity
- Ability to respond to emergencies within 45 minutes.
- Availability of backup personnel when required.
- Ability to provide trained supervisors.
