Job Overview
Eduvos is seeking an Academic Content Writer specialising in Graphic Design, with a focus on Motion Design and 3D Animation, to join its Humanities Department. The position can be based at any Eduvos campus nationally.
The successful candidate will provide content-writing and academic development services, creating and maintaining learning materials and assessments for students in collaboration with subject matter experts.
This is a fixed-term position requiring full-time work.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- BA Honours in Graphic Design, specialising in audiovisual production, including animation and motion graphics.
- A Master’s degree (MA) is advantageous.
- A background in Fine Arts or Digital Arts may also be considered, provided the required specialisations are met.
Experience
- At least 3 years’ experience in lecturing and/or developing study materials within the Higher Education sector.
- Experience creating interactive content on a Learning Management System (LMS), such as Moodle, is highly preferable.
- Experience setting assessments across various NQF levels.
- Academic journal publishing experience is advantageous.
- Strong skills in branding, packaging and social media design.
- Good understanding of typography and layout.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new student learning materials, including study materials and assessments.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts within the faculty through communities of practice.
- Follow Eduvos development guidelines.
- Develop content according to programme specifications and the Eduvos brand.
- Review learning materials with moderators as part of the quality-assurance process.
- Submit developed content for copy editing through the approved process.
- Upload and release materials in the required format on the relevant platform.
- Review and update existing learning materials and assessments.
- Resolve content-related queries.
- Ingest module content where required.
Technical & Functional Competencies

- Competence in the relevant field of Graphic Design, Motion Design and 3D Animation.
- Proficiency in an LMS such as Moodle.
