Role Overview
Operate heavy-duty vehicles and machinery to transport construction materials, equipment, and personnel safely and efficiently. Ensure compliance with road safety regulations and company procedures while supporting site operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operate Code 14 vehicles, including trucks and tippers, to transport materials and equipment.
Perform daily vehicle inspections; report defects or maintenance needs.
Comply with traffic laws, site safety standards, and company transport policies.
Load and offload materials safely with appropriate equipment.
Maintain accurate delivery/trip records, logbooks, and fuel usage reports.
Assist with site setup and logistical operations.
Follow schedules and routes for efficient time management.
Perform basic vehicle maintenance (oil, water, tyres, brakes).
Maintain professionalism, teamwork, and safety on-site and on the road.
Requirements
Minimum Grade 10 or equivalent.
Clear criminal record.
Valid Code 14 (EC) driver’s licence with a Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Code 14 driver in logistics.
Ability to read and follow delivery schedules, maps, and work instructions.
