Role Overview
Operate heavy-duty vehicles, specifically tri-axle trucks and tippers, to transport construction materials, equipment, and personnel safely and efficiently. Ensure adherence to road safety regulations and company procedures while supporting site operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operate Code 14 vehicles, including tri-axle trucks and tippers, for transportation of materials and equipment.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
Follow traffic laws, site safety standards, and company transport policies.
Safely load and offload materials using proper equipment in coordination with site teams.
Keep accurate delivery/trip records, logbooks, and fuel reports.
Assist with site setup and other logistical operations.
Follow assigned schedules and routes efficiently.
Perform basic vehicle maintenance (oil, water, tyres, brakes).
Uphold professionalism, teamwork, and safety standards.
Requirements
Minimum Grade 10 or equivalent.
Clear criminal record.
Valid Code 14 (EC) driver’s licence with Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Code 14 driver in logistics.
Ability to read and follow delivery schedules, maps, and instructions.
