    Job Overview – Senior Construction Manager (Construction / Renewable Industry)

    Job Purpose

    The Senior Construction Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of large-scale construction projects valued at R100 million and above. The role involves leadership of major project sites, ensuring effective planning, execution, quality assurance, cost control, and team management. You will oversee all on-site activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and according to specification.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide full project oversight for high-value construction projects (R100m+).

    • Lead and manage large site teams of 80+ employees.

    • Oversee project planning, scheduling, and execution.

    • Ensure strict compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

    • Manage project budgets, cost control, and resource allocation.

    • Drive project progress to meet contractual timelines and deliverables.

    • Coordinate across disciplines (civil, structural, building, electrical, and renewable-energy related works).

    • Identify and resolve on-site challenges and risks.

    • Maintain communication with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

    • Ensure all construction activities meet industry regulations and project specifications.

    Requirements

    • BTech or Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.

    • Professional registration (Pr.CM, Pr.Eng, or Pr.Tech.Eng) is advantageous.

    • Minimum 15 years’ construction management experience.

    • Must have completed 3+ projects valued at R100 million or more (non-negotiable).

    • Proven ability to manage large site teams (80+ personnel).

    • Experience delivering large, complex, multi-discipline projects.

    • Background in Renewable Energy and Civil Earthworks is preferred.

    • Willingness to relocate or travel to project sites across multiple provinces.

    • Valid driver’s licence.

    • Must be immediately available
