    Job Purpose

    The Civil / Earthworks Construction Foreman will be responsible for supervising and coordinating on-site construction teams on major civil and renewable energy projects valued at R20 million and above. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing day-to-day site activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to design specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and supervise on-site construction teams across civil, earthworks, and structural disciplines.

    • Ensure daily site activities are executed according to project drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

    • Coordinate and monitor work related to bulk earthworks, roads, drainage, platforms, concrete works, and structures.

    • Oversee construction activities on renewable energy projects such as solar farms, wind farms, and battery storage sites.

    • Implement and enforce safety protocols, toolbox talks, and site compliance practices.

    • Manage labour, equipment, and material usage efficiently.

    • Work closely with Site Agents, Engineers, and Construction Managers to ensure alignment with project goals.

    • Identify on-site challenges and resolve issues to maintain project progress.

    • Ensure accurate reporting on daily site activities and productivity.

    • Maintain strong communication with contractors, subcontractors, and site workers.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Construction Foreman in civil or earthworks construction.

    • Must have successfully completed 3+ projects valued at R20 million or more (non-negotiable).

    • Strong experience in civil engineering works:

      • Roads

      • Earthworks

      • Structures

      • Concrete works

    • Proven background in Renewable Energy projects (solar farms, wind farms, battery storage).

    • Extensive experience in civil earthworks including:

      • Bulk earthworks

      • Cut-to-fill

      • Platforms

      • Roads

      • Stormwater/drainage networks

    • Must be immediately available to start.

    • Willingness to relocate or travel across project sites in Northern Cape, Mpumalanga, and Free State.

    • Valid driver’s licence
