    Role Overview:

    The Senior Construction Manager will take full accountability for planning, managing, and delivering major construction projects valued at R100 million and above. The role involves leading large site teams, ensuring safety compliance, controlling costs, managing subcontractors, tracking progress, and ensuring all work is completed on schedule and to specification. Preference is given to candidates with experience in renewable energy, civil earthworks, and multi-disciplinary construction environments.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage all construction site operations from inception to completion.

    • Ensure project delivery aligns with specifications, budgets, timelines, and quality standards.

    • Oversee construction planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and cost management.

    • Manage, motivate, and supervise large site teams (80+ employees per site).

    • Coordinate subcontractors, engineers, and suppliers.

    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

    • Monitor quality, progress, and risks, implementing corrective action where necessary.

    • Provide accurate project reports to senior leadership.

    • Manage civil, structural, and building disciplines across large multi-disciplinary projects.

    • Ensure project execution meets renewable energy or large-scale civil works requirements (where applicable).

    • Travel or relocate to project regions as required.

     Key Requirements

    Education (One of the following required)

    • BTech / Degree in Construction Management

    • BTech / Degree in Civil Engineering

    • BTech / Degree in Electrical Engineering

    • Professional registration (Pr.CM, Pr.Eng, Pr.Tech.Eng) is an advantage

    Experience

    • Minimum 15 years’ experience in construction management (non-negotiable)

    • Must have successfully completed at least 3 large projects valued at R100 million+

    • Experience leading 80+ employees on-site

    • Proven delivery of large-scale, complex, multi-disciplinary construction projects

    • Experience in:

      • Civil works

      • Building construction

      • Structural works

      • Renewable energy sector (advantage)

    Other Requirements

    • Must be immediately available

    • Willing to travel or relocate to project areas

    • Valid driver’s license
